Training
Overview
With a population of 8,472 people, little by way of natural, financial or technological resources, the people of Soufriere represent the community’s biggest resource. Despite the abundance of the human resource, most are untrained. Aware that the economic growth of Soufriere can only be initiated and sustained through an adequate supply of trained human resources, the Soufriere Foundation set about creating a Training Department to set about to accomplish its vision of ‘contributing towards the development of the community’s human resources’. Since then many Soufrierians have benefitted from the Soufriere Foundation’s training initiatives.

- Improve ability of community groups to seek funding to undertake development work
- Enhance productivity of local organizations and make them more profitable
